Your guide to optimal rearing shed preparation

Use Stalosan F in conjunction with a strong liquid disinfectant for a total hygiene solution in the rearing shed or animal housing.

Step by step guide:

1. Remove all old, soiled bedding and organic material.

Remove as much organic material from the floors, walls, posts, rails, and roof as possible.

2. Clean feeding equipment and water troughs.

3. Spray with a good strong disinfectant.

Make sure to cover all areas, including the floor, walls, railings, roof. Disinfect feeding equipment too.

Allow to dry.

4. Cover the floor with a layer of Stalosan F (approx 100g/m²).

This layer of Stalosan F underneath the bedding is an excellent preventative and will absorb any moisture and ammonia that filters through the bedding.

5. Spread clean, dry bedding (300mm deep) on top of Stalosan F.

Regularly apply Stalosan F (50g/m² once weekly - ie. a light sprinkling) on top of bedding to stabilise the microflora and chemical balance, get rid of ammonia and keep moisture levels low.

Use Stalosan F in conjunction with a quality liquid disinfectant, alternating applications every 3-4 days.

Sprinkle Stalosan F on the floor and bedding, spray liquid disinfectant everywhere except the bedding – keeping the bedding as dry as possible.
